Dear Friends

Warmest Greetings!

We are happy to announce that the Kabataang Gabay sa Positibong Pamumuhay has being selected by the International AIDS Society for a sponsored Market Place Booth and a scholarship offer for the exhibitor to sell of street children’s arts and crafts under our YouthLEAP initiative at the XVIII International AIDS Conference to be held at Vienna International Center in Austria on July 16-23, 2010.

With this opportunity, we are mobilizing a total of 1000 USD or 45,000 PhP cash capital for our street youth for their arts workshops and crafts production which will be held on June 26 – 27, 2010 for our Bacolod City group and on June 29 – 30, 2010 for Iloilo City group

We are excited to invite you to be part of this programme and seek you to be one of our supporters that will facilitate the successful participation of our programme to the XVIII International AIDS Conference. We expect to raise at least 10,000 USD income with our participation that will be utilized to scale-up our social entrepreneurship and livelihood programme for our street you in the Cities of Iloilo and Bacolod

Furthermore, we will be inviting our donors to a Street Children’s Thanksgiving Variety Show and Benefit Dinner on August 4 and 6, 2010 in the Cities of Bacolod and Iloilo respectively which will gather our sponsors and donors to recognize their individual and institutional support as well as interact with our street youth beneficiaries who will likewise offer their talents and share their aspirations in life during the variety show programme. We will be providing you with programme and financial reports to update you for the financial and social outcomes of the programme.

In behalf of the Kabataang Gabay sa Positibong Pamumuhay, we are looking forward for your support in our bid to participate and showcase the talents and products of our street youth in the XVIII International AIDS Conference.

About our Organization

Mission: We shape wings that make youth fly and paint their dreams across the sky
Vision: Propelled by winds and soar them high, and be their own change as days pass by

Inspired by this mission and vision, KGPP works to pursue youth-led development by harnessing human capacities that: engage young people in decision-making exercises in their spheres of influences; and offer them life tools that facilitate making informed decisions and shaping their own solutions on issues confronting them particularly education, poverty and exploitative child labor.

Kabataang Gabay sa Positibong Pamumuhay is an enterprise of emerging young leaders of naturally-formed peer groups in highly exploitative environments and risk spaces connected with a common dream for youth empowerment. Gabay as commonly called, is a registered non-stock, non-profit and non-government organization established in 1999. Recognized as one the most outstanding youth organizations in the Philippines in 2003 in Iloilo City and 2008 in Bacolod City by the National Youth Commission.
